Passage planning checklist
A structured checklist covering everything from weather to crew briefing. Work through it before departure — tick items off on screen or print a blank copy for the chart table.
Passage planning is required by SOLAS regulation V/34 for all vessels. The level of detail should be proportionate to the passage — a 2-hour coastal hop needs less planning than an overnight offshore trip.
